​​A simple overview of what you’re agreeing to when you reserve a puppy from Bertana Sheepadoodles

1. Reserving Your Puppy

• Your puppy is reserved once you pay the non‑refundable deposit

• Until the deposit is received, the puppy may still be offered to other approved families

• We hold your puppy until the agreed pickup or transport date.

 

2. Payments

• Deposit: non‑refundable, payable after week 3/4 puppy allocations

• Final balance: paid and cleared prior to pickup or transport

• Transport: buyer pays all transport costs

• Transported puppies: final payment must be made 3 days before travel.

 

3. Pet‑Only Sale (No Breeding)

Your puppy is sold as a pet only, not for breeding. This means:

• no intentional or accidental breeding

• no breeding programs

• desexing is required

• proof of desexing must be provided when requested

Breeding is a major breach of contract triggering penalties (financial and immediate surrender of the dog including all puppies to us), and potential legal action.

 

4. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• provide proper food, water, shelter, grooming, and vet care

• train and socialise your puppy

• keep them safe, secure and loved

• follow local council and state animal welfare laws

If you can’t keep your dog at any point in their life, they must come back to us — never rehomed, gifted or taken to a shelter or pound.

 

5. Health & Vet Care

Your puppy comes with:

• age appropriate vaccinations

• microchipping

• parasite prevention

• a vet health check

You must take your puppy to your own vet within 72 hours of receiving them. We provide a health guarantee for serious hereditary or congenital conditions diagnosed within the first 12-24months.

 

6. Behaviour & Training

Puppies need:

• consistent training

• socialisation

• structure

• exercise and enrichment

Whilst we breed for temperament and our dogs are temperament tested, we can’t guarantee adult behaviour — this is shaped and influenced by their new environment, exposure and training.

 

7. Transport (If Applicable)

• Transport rules depend on the airline or road carrier

• Buyer covers transport costs

• We provide all required paperwork

• Payment must be completed 3 days before travel

 

8. Legal Summary

• The Offer becomes binding when you pay the deposit

• The Sales Agreement becomes binding when both parties sign and the balance payment is received in full

• Queensland and Australian Consumer Laws apply

• The Offer and Sales Agreement together form the full contract

 

In short…

We raise your puppy with care, health, and love. You commit to giving pup a safe, responsible, lifelong home. If anything changes, they come back to us. Breeding is not permitted. Puppy must be desexed. The contract is legally binding.

Any puppy purchased under false pretense, misrepresentation, untruths, on behalf of a third party, and/or withholding of critical information will void the contract immediately resulting in penalties including financial, and the immediate return of the dog (and any puppies) to us. Any breach will be pursued through legal channels.
